Brendon Urie closes the goddamn door on Panic! At The Disco, announces breakup

Seemingly out of nowhere (but actually, not really), Brendon Urie has closed the door on Panic! At The Disco. Brendon announced the breakup of what’s ostensibly a solo project (and has been for a while), due to his wife expecting a child.

At least Brendon Urie seems to be approaching this life change with a sense of poise and rationality. And to be fair, Panic! At The Disco was incredibly successful. Debuting in 2005 with A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, Panic! experienced much success, especially of the chart-topping kind. In fact, “High Hopes” was basically inescapable on pop radio for a couple years, setting records along the way. Their dramatic, theatrical pop-rock sound exploded for a reason, after all.
