Blue October’s new album “I Hope You’re Happy” scores a big debut on the Billboard charts

Platinum-selling alternative band Blue October’s long-awaited ninth studio album, I Hope You’re Happy (Out now on Up/Down-Brando Records), has debuted on the Billboard charts this week with an impressive #28 showing on the Billboard Top 200, along with the following chart positions:

#6 on the Current Albums Chart
#2 on the Alternative Albums Chart
#2 on the Independent Albums chart
#7 on the Overall Albums Chart

I Hope You’re Happy, front-man Justin Furstenfeld’s production debut, was called by Billboard “Blue October’s most contemporary pop-leaning album to date. Billboard “Blue October’s most contemporary pop-leaning album to date.”

The first single “I Hope You’re Happy” peaked at #14 on the US Alternative Airplay Chart and has been in rotation on stations like Alt 103.7 Dallas, Alt 92.9 Boston, Radio 104.5 Philly, KFOG 104.5 San Francisco, 104.3 The Shark Miami, and 101X Austin, among dozens of others across the country.
