Blink 182 hit a side stage at Coachella late Friday evening as the surprise band announced Wednesday with the festival’s set times. This marked the band’s first reunion set with Tom Delonge since Oct. 11th, 2014, when Tom stepped away from the band. The band is set for their massive reunion tour starting in a few weeks that will kick off in the US before heading overseas.
Their roughly 45 minute set saw the band kick off with profanity laced “Family Reunion”, debut “Edging” live, and for the first time since 2001 with Tom play “Aliens Exist”. The band blasted through an 18 song set with plenty of jokes in between. As usual the band had sex jokes, references to the festival, and even topical jokes on current events – though not always going super over with the crowd as the band also joked about how they can’t be cancelled.
