With the recent passing of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins still fresh in the minds of many, musicians all across multiple genres have paid tribute to him recently, from Miley Cyrus all the way to many of rock and metal’s most prominent figures. A true talent who also recorded drums on Coheed and Cambria’s 2007 album No World For Tomorrow, Hawkins was an important part of Foo Fighters being a big time gateway band for many who are exposed to rock music for the first time.
Even pop megastar Billie Eilish paid her respects to Hawkins at the Grammy Awards over the weekend, where she wore a shirt with Hawkins prominently featured on it, front and center. This happened during her performance of “Happier Than Ever”, and it really does leave little doubt that Eilish is the kind of musician who never forgets to pay tribute to those who influence her.
