Balance And Composure are back with new music and tour dates

Balance And Composure were without a doubt one of the bands that spearheaded the 2010s heyday of alt/grunge-inspired emo and post-hardcore. Labels like Run for Cover Records and No Sleep Records graced us with the cream of the crop from groups like Balance And Composure, Citizen, and Basement throughout the decade, and the 2020s are now seeing a resurgence of this sound with bands like Webbed Wing and Narrow Head blowing up in the worlds of alt-rock and post-hardcore. Balance And Composure have been inactive since 2019 and haven’t released new music since 2017, leaving fans with little reason to think they’d ever be back. But as of today, their story continues with two new songs.

Now on Memory Music, the label of modern emo’s go-to producer Will Yip, Balance And Composure have dropped two brand new songs out of nowhere. The group will be playing a handful of shows this summer and the new tracks will be available on vinyl alongside remixes of each. Frontman Jon Simmons shares what “Last To Know” is about: “It’s the feeling of being the last one in on an elaborate cruel prank being played on you. Some people can use you up for what they need and then abandon you when they feel fulfilled. With this song, I just wanted to say my piece.” Check out the music video for “Savior Mode” and more info on tour dates below.
