After a pushback last month which saw Ubisoft delay their upcoming free to play shooter “XDefiant”, which was announced in 2021, the company has now announced the game is indefinitely delayed. Supposedly nearly unplayable due to bugs and issues, the game, which was hyped to be a faster paced version of COD combining all the worlds of Tom Clancy games, is now worried by fans if it will ever even end up being released.

With a post on October 9th, Ubisoft said that XDefiant’s test sessions “surfaced some inconsistencies in the game experience that we need to address prior to launching our Preseason. So we’ve made the hard decision to delay the Preseason of XDefiant.”
“The team will continue working to address these issues and testing them to make sure we deliver on our goal of being a best-in-class arcade shooter,” Ubisoft continued. The developer did not give an updated release window estimate, but it promised to share information “as it comes.” An example of the issues identified in the beta included things like “movement feeling off,” including a slide developers ultimately found “was being interrupted by frame spikes.”
