AEW Rampage – Episode 45 (06.10.2022) (Wrestling Review)

AEW

Rampage

Singles Match
Eddie Kingston vs. Jake Hager

A fine match but nothing special. This has to be due to Hager being seemingly worth nothing in AEW. He comes and goes randomly for long periods at a time and has no build so there’s no shot at him beating someone like Eddie. It had its parts of being a hard hitting match but never found its tempo.

Tag Team Match
Jay Lethal & Satnam Singh (w/Sonjay Dutt) vs. Davey Vega & Mat Fitchett

All made to make Satham look good, which he didn’t. The Besties In The World deserved better.

Singles Match
Kris Statlander vs. Red Velvet (w/Jade Cargill, Kiera Hogan & Stokely Hathaway)

Much better than expected given Velvets lackluster AEW run. More impressive though is Statlander redoing herself, her character, and really looking better in ring. This had its moments of being really good and even at its worst was just medicore.

Six Man Tag Team Match
FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) & Trent Beretta vs. The United Empire (Kyle Fletcher, Mark Davis & Will Ospreay) (w/Aaron Henare)

Now this wasn’t bad at all but I also felt like it never hit its stride. Everyone involved is great, Ospreay in AEW is fun, FTR are the best in the world, but this just never had that wow moment and the pace seemed wonky.
