Can you name 50 nu-metal albums? If you’re like us, you could probably name closer to 500, but we digress. Famed publication Metal Hammer recently polled their entire readership to figure out what they thought were the 50 best nu-metal records of all time. A few of the choices might surprise you, but overall, the poll (remember, it’s voted on by the publication’s fans) more or less falls in line with what you’d expect. As ThePRP notes, the list also includes some recent albums in the genre, like Tallah’s Matriphagy, and isn’t merely a nostalgia list. There’s also interesting albums from the unfortunately-titled (but overlooked) Ultraspank on the list as well as some pretty great albums from Sevendust and Chimaira here. To be fair, some of these probably wouldn’t be labeled accurately as nu-metal (Disturbed’s Ten Thousand Fists in particular), but that’s neither here nor there. It is, after all, a fan-voted list.
