Asking Alexandria guitarist Ben Bruce, who founded the band and helped them reach stardom early on with 2009’s Stand Up And Scream, has decided to step away from the band. Bruce originally formed Asking Alexandria while living in Dubai, moving back to England in hopes of achieving international success.
Bruce cited the move as medical situations with his family warranted it, as well as wanting to spend more time with his children, which is always an honorable thing to do. Especially when you consider that Bruce has been on the road touring with Asking Alexandria really since Stand Up And Scream was released. It snowballed from there for Bruce and Asking Alexandria, as between their sophomore album Reckless And Relentless and The Black, they scored three consecutive top 10 Billboard 200 debuts – and 2017 single “Alone In A Room” ended up being a big crossover hit to mainstream rock audiences.
There’s no word on a replacement at this time, as Asking Alexandria are set to headline the “All My Friends” tour in April + May of this year.
