With the news awhile back that long time voice of legendary game character Mario, Charles Martinet, would be stepping away from the role and retiring fans have wondered who would be voicing the iconic plumber. With the latest game, Super Mario Bros Wonder (0ut Oct. 20th on the Nintendo Switch) just on the horizon it seems the news has broke.
After some fan speculation voice actor Kevin Afghani has come out and announced he will be taking over the voice for Mario and Luigi from here on out. The voice actor, whose only other credit involves voicing Arnold on the english dub of Genshin Impact has some big shoes to fill as Martinet is beloved by fans.
Incredibly proud to have voiced Mario and Luigi in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Thanks to Nintendo for inviting me into the Flower Kingdom!
