Between 2003-2012, Three Days Grace and former vocalist Adam Gontier released four records together. Three of those records placed in the top 10 of the Billboard 200, with One-X, Transit Of Venue, and Life Starts Now also entering the top 5 in the USA. While Gontier left the band shortly after the release of TOV in early 2013 (helping form the supergroup of sorts Saint Asonia), Three Days Grace have still been successful with former My Darkest Days vocalist Matt Walst. And while Gontier and Three Days Grace are both successful apart, there’s no doubt that fans have been clamoring for some sort of reunion between the two.
Well, that happened (kind of) live on stage at their show in Huntsville, Alabama, on April 19th. Gontier rejoined Three Days Grace to perform two songs, notably “Never Too Late” and “Riot” (off their album One-X). To say the reception was massive is almost an understatement, and while there was no official announcement regarding Gontier’s return to the band in any capacity, it also wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see Gontier show up at a Three Days Grace show in the future. Or maybe more.
