Impact Wrestling – No Surrender 2023 (Wrestling Review)

Impact Wrestling

No Surrender

Las Vegas, Nevada

Feb. 24th, 2023

Singles Match
Deonna Purrazzo vs. Gisele Shaw (w/Jai Vidal)

More of a story match than anything. Never was interesting though and I can’t see this angle going anywhere.

1 / 5

Singles Match
Jonathan Gresham vs. Mike Bailey

A decent match between these guys. Some moves didn’t look or work out great but was a solid enough under 10 minute match.

2.5 / 5

Singles Match
Frankie Kazarian vs. Kon (w/Angels, Callihan & Deaner)

Kon is a boring big guy and this match was about as bare bones as it gets. Frankie gets a win over a big guy and Sami’s stable story continues.

1.5 / 5

Impact Knockouts Tag Team Title Match
The Death Dollz (Jessicka & Taya Valkyrie) (w/Rosemary) (c) vs. The Hex (Allysin Kay & Marti Belle)

Fan of the Hex so hope they do more. This was an okay match even with not being a fan of Jessika in ring at all.

2 / 5

Impact Digital Media Title Dot Combat Match
Joe Hendry (c) vs. Moose

A brawl with a few decent spots and a lot of misses. Seems to be the thing Moose does every PPV which is lose lately.

2 / 5

Impact World Title #1 Contendership Four Way Match
PCO vs. Brian Myers vs. Heath vs. Steve Maclin

Exactly what I thought this would be, some good moves followed by PCO spots. Maclin winning is whatever because he never gets the #1 shot.

2 / 5

Six Man Tag Team Match
BULLET CLUB (Ace Austin, Chris Bey & KENTA) vs. Time Machine (Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin & KUSHIDA)

A pretty fantastic six man tag. The pacing was great, tons of big spots and team moves, and the crowd was super into it. It was filled with big names so the odds of it being anything but great were slim.

4.5 / 5

Impact Knockouts World Title Match
Mickie James (c) vs. Masha Slamovich

Masha has tons of potential in Impact and is growing into a big name but Mickie just doesn’t lose. At this point I wonder who they will have defeat her. The match here was good as expected by both women but it will be interesting to see how long Impact keeps Mickie winning for.

3.5 / 5

Impact World Title Match
Josh Alexander (c) vs. Rich Swann

Honestly this was a good match but just never felt special. I didn’t believe Swann had any chance here to win at all. Parts of it started to drag some and it had a few sloppy moments. It was a fine match though just not Josh Alexanders best PPV match lately.
