Bad Omens are paying tribute to the late Keaton Pierce of Too Close To Touch on their current headlining tour with a cover of “Sympathy”

Bad Omens and Too Close To Touch have quite a few similarities. Both bands emerged around the same time, and while they differed stylistically, they started gaining momentum with just their debut full-lengths. With a strong sense of melody that permeates both bands, there’s little doubt the two would have been touring together right now.

Sadly, Pierce passed away earlier this year – but Bad Omens have been doing their best to pay tribute to him in the best way possible – by covering TCTT’s “Sympathy” during their current headlining tour. “Sympathy” is the opening track from TCTT’s 2016 album Haven’t Been Myself, and its emotional lyrics and tension undoubtedly left a mark on many.

And it’s not just a cover, either. Considering these are the biggest shows of Bad Omens’ career so far, they’re going all-out and even changing the stage setup so that Pierce’s memory is on display for all to see. It’s rather impressive, as is the cover itself. There’s even a second mic stand for Pierce, and let’s just say it’s hard not to shed a few tears watching this.
