Singles Match
CM Punk vs. Penta Oscuro (w/Alex Abrahantes)

The crowd was super behind both Punk and Penta here. That energy I think helped push Punk even more into this match. Outside of one rough landing which Punk handled well this was a pretty 50/50 back and forth between these two with a lot of close calls and reversals on moves. Clearly Punk wasn’t losing but this didn’t hurt Penta in the slightest as the crowd even after was into both.

AEW World Tag Team Title Match
Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus) (c) vs. reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly)

A really fun tag match. Jungle Boy continues to shine most and Luchasaurus has his moments as well. ReDragon are always solid but sort of just in a spot right now where they aren’t a credible threat for the belts. Some moves here fell short or visibly didn’t connect but the good moments overlooked though.

Singles Match
MJF (w/Shawn Spears) vs. Shawn Dean

Not a match, just an angle to continue MJF / Wardlow. Look past the ref taking a minute to start the count and this was just a fun continuation of the story. Count outs in AEW are super rare.

2.5 / 5

Six Man Tag Team Match
Eddie Kingston, Ortiz & Santana vs. Jericho Appreciation Society (Chris Jericho, Daniel Garcia & Jake Hager)

A decent tag match that was heavily carried by Kingston & Santana / Ortiz. Santana & Ortiz continue to be two of the most under utilized people in AEW. Some good tag move moments but it felt lacking to a degree. Throw in a bad cheap finish and it just ended a little off.

Singles Match
Marina Shafir vs. Skye Blue

A quick squash that didn’t get the crowd much. The crowd loves Skye Blue but its odd because she’s around a lot and well liked but isn’t signed. Marina is good but just isn’t over in the slightest.

1 / 5

Tag Team Match
Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland vs. Team Taz (Powerhouse Hobbs & Ricky Starks)

A fun match with a cheap heel win. Swerve and Lee work great as a team, Hobbs is always solid, but Starks even with his hometown cheer feels out. He just doesn’t do much for me to stand out. Still a fun match with some really good spots.

3 / 5

ROH World Television Title Match
Minoru Suzuki (c) vs. Samoa Joe

A really good match that played much more into the ROH / NJPW. A lot of hard hits and chops and while not a super fast moving action match never felt slow at all. It was great to see these two face to face but this wasn’t some 5 star classic sadly. The crowd was into though. Not related to the rating, the post match moment was horrendous.
