Canada’s Softcult are really onto something special. Since bursting onto the scene just last year, the band (who consists of the Arn-Horn siblings, who you likely know from their Courage My Love days) have really struck gold with their hybrid blend of alt-rock, dream pop, and shoegaze. Often spanning all those influences in a single song, they’re making new fans at a meteoric rate, which isn’t a surprise considering their pedigree – or how good the music is.
New single “Perfec Blue” continues that stream, if we’re being honest. The new track, arriving from their forthcoming EP Year Of The Snake, sports a huge chorus and an even more imperative and vital message. Truly a special act that, if they’re not already, deserve to be on your radar.
