Denzel Curry’s “Ricky” has been certified Gold by the RIAA

While he’s releasing a new album sometime in 2021, Melt My Eyez, See Your Future, Denzel Curry’s upcoming album might as well be titled Bangers Only. Because that’s all the Carol City rapper releases, really. His 2019 album Zuu, while relatively short in length, was full of huge, hook-filled songs that get stuck in your head – and few were quite as catchy as “Ricky”.

A fiery tribute to his father and the family that helped him pursue music, the song also references where Denzel Curry has traveled – and where he’s going now. In fact, the song has now reached a major sales milestone.

The single was certified Gold by the RIAA just a few days ago, for sales of 500,000 in the USA. It’s the rapper’s first major RIAA certification since last year’s “Clout Cobain” reached Platinum status, and you can be sure there’s many more to come in his future.
