While we know the band has been working on a new album for what seems like forever, the band continues to maintain their popularity as one of nu-metal’s most successful bands. While many of their peers have fallen off or are reduced to playing small clubs, Limp Bizkit still commands huge crowds around the world. How soon some forget that their 2000 Chocolate Starfish record sold a million copies in one week.
Anyhow, it appears the band may well be officially releasing new music soon. The band debuted part of a new track at their recent set over the weekend in Paris, France. The song is titled “Wasteoid”, and though there’s no concrete release date or anything, Fred Durst is overheard at the 4:45 mark, saying it’s a “taste” of the new album. Needless to say, any form of new music is highly anticipated, and interestingly enough, the comments on the song debut are almost uniformly positive.
