Palaver Thursday was amazing this week! Palaver Records along with Soundstamp and Starr Hill Brewing brought some phenomenal talent to the stage.

Groove Circus, a funk/rock band out of Nashville, TN, was the first band to hit the stage with full force. I just remember thinking, “That dude has an amazing voice!” Every member of the band put on an energetic performance. Before they even left the stage I was wondering when I would be able to catch them live again.

Sharkweek, of Chattanooga, TN, was next and kept the pace going. These guys put on a loud and in your face show that is unrelenting. Their entire performance exuded a rock and roll attitude, which left me in anticipation of shattered guitars and broken drumheads. Thankfully, no instruments were harmed during their performance.

Next up was Nashville’s, The Winter Sounds. If I had to use one word to describe their performance it would be: mesmerizing. Their music is upbeat, catchy, and sure to leave you in a good mood. They were just as fun to watch as they were to listen to.

Closing out the amazing night of performances was Machines Are People Too. I have a challenge for anyone at one of their shows: try to be mad. You can’t! I guarantee it is impossible to be upset while watching them perform. You can tell when a band is performing for the crowd and when a band is truly just doing what they love and that was clearly the case for these guys. You could see and hear the passion through every second of their set.

I never danceā€¦ ever, but that almost changed this past Thursday. Trust me when I tell you that you do not want to miss Palaver Thursday at FooBar in East Nashville. It’s never a disappointing night!
