An interesting statement that found its way into my email was my first introduction to Spartan Records band Young Fox, who are clearly trying to make an impact with Predecessors. Austin Griswold of Secret Service PR constantly runs campaigns for bands I’m interested in, and Young Fox is no exception.

With influences ranging from Sunny Day Real Estate to Fugazi, characterizing Young Fox’s sound is not a simple task. Predecessors is a journey of aesthetic variance, where melodic integrity meets power, lushness breaks for simplicity, and structure crescendos into recklessness.
