TNF Premiere: Electronic rock artist Soul Extract signs to FIXT Records, releases new song, “Decryption”

FIXT Records has essentially cornered the market on modern electronic rock. While this may sound like a tad bit of hyperbole (okay, maybe it is), the fact is that FIXT have managed to compile an impressive roster full of both veteran acts (the label is, after all, founded by Klayton of Celldweller fame) as well as promising newcomers. New signing Soul Extract isn’t necessarily new, but the brainchild of Josh Mullis is certainly an exciting act to watch. We’re excited to be premiering “Decryption”, a new song off the upcoming album Circadian Algorithm, which drops November 13th. Interestingly, the new record is a collection of songs that dates back all the way to 2001. The new song, as well as the upcoming record itself, is a solid collection of electronically-inclined alt-rock that sounds both familiar and modern. A recipe for success? We think so.

About Soul Extract: Some artists like to follow conventions on their debut album. Soul Extract isn’t one of them. Diving headfirst into the limitless possibilities of electronic rock, Soul Extract approaches his music with a mindset that is both analytic and eccentric. His willingness to disrupt genre norms and songwriting expectations leads to exciting twists on every track of Circadian Algorithm. Coarse, violently heavy guitar riffs pound out alongside thunderous percussion in one moment, while introspective vocals float across patient synth melodies in the next. Circadian Algorithmcontains a diverse and inspired collection of music that marks the beginning of an exciting career for Soul Extract.
