Vocalist Cody Kahmar, who draws inspiration from Rock, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and multiple other genres, took some time to discuss 5 albums that have had a huge influence on his life. Check them out after the jump.

1. The first album I bout myself was “Puff Daddy and the Family” with The LOX, Lil’ Kim, 112, Total, Biggie, Ma$e and of course Puffy. It was a classic to me and gave me a whole new range to my love of music.

2. I loved when my mom and dad got me “Journey’s Greatest Hits”. Thatalbum showed me the amazing vocal range people were capable of.  Steve Perry is one of my favorite singers.

3.Boyz II Men Was a great one too.  A whole album of relationships gone wrong AND right. And it taught me how to treat a woman…lol

4. Musiq Soulchild’s “Ijuswannasing” was the SH%#!! It was a BIG influence in the way I sing and deliver my records

now. I had the chance to meet Musiq and told him that when I met him. Soul RnB is in me.

5. Last but not least is “Riot” by Paramore. The fast pace drum changes and lyrics alone had me. And it was a different sound that drew me in, and thats what attracted me to the sound. I like different.
