World Premiere : Dark alternative act Séance of Sorrow make Halloween even spookier with their cover of Audioslaves “Like A Stone”

Self described “Dark Alt Collective” act Séance of Sorrow are premiering their new video for their cover of Audioslaves “Like A Stone” to make this Halloween just a bit more spooky. The band tackles the classic with their own brooding yet instantly recognizable sound making it their own without needing to overly change it up.

Fans of Audioslave will quickly latch onto this cover with joy while new fans of the band will see this as a chance to get in with the act as they make their break into the scene.

“Audioslave released their debut album 22 years ago. When I first heard Like A Stone, it sent chills through my body. The subtle delivery of morbid lyrics combined with Chris Cornell’s vocal mastery left a lasting impression on me. With the song hailed as a classic, and Chris Cornell’s passing cementing him as a legend and icon, I wanted to breathe new life into it. Rather than make a carbon copy, I wanted to give it a new, darker identity. I hope it finds its way into the hearts of old fans of the original and new fans who have never heard it before.” – Michael Morrison

Formed in the wake of a brutal murder, Séance of Sorrow uses music as their medium to communicate with the mortal world. Each song provides a psychic vision to vocalist, Michael Morrison, revealing details of their former lives, their grieving loved ones, and their similar, tragic endings. Acting as a conduit between the realm of the living and the realm of the dead, his mournful melodies tell their story.

Condemned to ‘The Black’, a place where forsaken souls with unfinished business reside, they strive to eventually write the one song that will give Michael the vision of who took their lives. Until then, SOS play their cryptic hard rock through eternal darkness. Close your eyes, open your hearts, and let the ritual begin. This is the Séance of Sorrow.
