Modesto, California post-hardcore band Dwellings recently released their debut album “Lavender Town” on June 29th via Tragic Hero Records. Similar to some of the “Swancore” bands out there, Dwellings put their own unique touch on the genre and even throw in a bit of progressive/alternative rock elements into the mix to keep the listener interested throughout it’s runtime. Belle Noire, the talented progressive rock band from San Jose who impressed listeners in 2016 with their debut album What It Means To Be, are back with a name change, new label, and new single. The group is now known as BELLE, and they have just signed to Tragic Hero Records, while also releasing their new single “Reverence”. The song marks an evolution from their debut, with growing use of subtle textures and electronic flourishes to compliment Joey Lancaster’s soaring vocals and passionate lyricism. Tragic Hero Records has announced a striking new signing in California hardcore band Set Sights. Alongside that big announcement, the band has also released a music video for their new single, “Rise Above”. The hard-working band might remind listeners of a litany of scene favorites, from The Ghost Inside to Turnstile, perhaps even influences from melodic hardcore acts like Capsize, Ghost Key, and Taken.
