Five Reasons You Cannot Miss Louder Than Life Festival

I’ve always loved going to music festivals; the atmosphere is inviting and everyone shares a passion for music. Everyone is there for the same reason- to have fun. One thing I feel is heavily lacking in the US is multi-day festivals. When I saw the lineup for Louder Than Life Fest in Louisville, KY, my jaw dropped. It features an amazing range of metal bands. Still, the more I saw about the activities, tents, and partners of the festival the more I wanted to go. So I’ve compiled my personal list of five reasons why Louder Than Life Fest is a must!

Here it is:

1) Judas Priest… need I say more?

2) Artist inspired alcoholic beverages, including: Mastodon’s Black Tongue Double Black IPA, Iron Maiden’s Trooper Premium British Beer, Motörhead’s Bastards Lager, Motörhead Vodka, and Slayer’s Reign in Blood Red Cabernet Sauvignon. I love beer almost as much as I love metal, so combining the two was pure genius. I rarely drink vodka and never drink wine, but stick Motörhead and Slayer in the name and I’m going to try it.

3) Free stuff! CRAZY DAVE’S MUSIC EXPERIENCE gives fans a chance to see what goes into a professional band setting. It’s an interactive exhibit with every instrument you would ever need to start a band. While you’re playing rockstar you may even get a chance to see your favorite band members at the tent. And like I said… FREE STUFF! You can win free amps, free guitars, and tons of other prizes.

4) Jack Daniels Whiskey Experience! If you’re curious about how Jack Daniel’s became one of the most recognizable names in whiskey, then this is where you want to be. You can find out the history of the distillery as well as how they make their amazing whiskey. If that’s not enough, there will also be merch, games, food, and more!

5) Germantown presented by Jägermeister will feature celebrity Jäger Chef and restaurant owner Chris Santos who will be judging the best gourmet man food items. What else? The best bartenders in Louisville, Jäger Challenges, Jäger mixology, shots, food, signings, and more!

Judas Priest, Korn, Stone Temple Pilots, Mastodon, Memphis May Fire, Fuel, Nonpoint, Miss May I, and so many more! Did I mention that that’s only accounting for the first day?
