Album Review: Jaret & Kelly – Sittin’ In A Tree [7.5/10]
Jaret & Kelly are comprised of the pop-punk giants frontman of Bowling for Soup, Jaret Reddick, and leading lady of pop-punk outfit The Dollyrots, Kelly Ogden. The twosome have been friends for a very long time, almost a decade, and the two have collaborated on songs in the past, most recently on the intro theme song to ABC’s hit show ‘Schooled’. Now, firstly I’d like to point out that pop-punk isn’t usually my cup of tea, I like some pop-punk, however as a rule, I’m a core boy, through and through. Needless to say, I like to give everything a go at least once, and I go in with an open mind, so here goes.
Blood Youth – STARVE [8.5/10]
Yorkshire-based Blood Youth are back with their sophomore album titled ‘STARVE’, and it’s a big time evolution from their previous melodic hardcore output.
York based Metalcore giants InVisions are back and set to release their second full length LP ‘Between You & Me‘, due to be released from their newly signed record label Stay Sick Records. They have had a successful career so far, touring with the likes of Our Hollow, Our Home, THECITYISOURS & Glamour of the Kill among various festival slots – and with their very successful debut album ‘Never Nothing‘ released back in 2017 under their belts, they are ready to get bigger and bigger. InVisions – ‘Between You & Me’ (8.5/10)
Hailing from Yorkshire, InVisions are a metalcore outfit from the UK, and are now back with their sophomore full-length, Between You & Me. On the signing to Stay Sick Records, guitarist Lucas Gabb says: “We were all at work, just a normal day when we got a message from our manager saying that Mike & Fronz (Attila / Co-Owner) were listening to the new record. Pretty much straight away he showed interest and said he’d be in touch with a formal offer to join the label, which was mad! Mike has a badass history in the music industry and Fronz is a G so we’re definitely really hyped to get on board with them for the new record!” Continue reading
