Avenged Sevenfold’s ‘Hail To The King’ and ‘Nightmare’ are both certified Platinum in the USA

Just a month ago, Avenged Sevenfold earned their second Platinum record (third if you count their longform video) for Waking The Fallen. The album, which helped launch the mainstream success they’d see on 2005’s City Of Evil (and beyond), is a fan favorite. Avenged Sevenfold would go on to reach even more success with both 2010’s Nightmare and 2013’s Hail To The King, and while they haven’t released an album since 2016’s The Stage, they’re still plenty popular.

So much so, in fact, that the two aforementioned albums – Nightmare and Hail To The King – have both been certified Platinum by the RIAA. Both albums have now moved a million units each, likely thanks in part to their popularity on streaming services, and that’s certainly a huge accomplishment in a climate that doesn’t sell many albums anymore. And with a new album that’s (hopefully) due out soon, A7X will be looking to add to that total.
