Guillaume Bideau, the longtime vocalist of Danish metal band Mnemic from 2006-2013, has sadly passed away at the age of 44. Formed in 1998 in Denmark, the band recorded five full-length albums, three of which Bideau fronted. Mnemic was known for being one of the most forward-thinking bands in their genre, with a mix of industrial, progressive, and thrash influences that would have been interesting in almost any era of music.
Bideau fronted Mnemic on three of these albums, starting with 2007’s Passenger. Bideau was also the frontman of French metal band Scarve previously, a photographer, and also fronted other bands like One-Way Mirror.
I just found out that Guillaume Bideau has passed away.
I'm actually shocked and devastated. He was an incredible singer and performer in what was one of metal's most forward-thinkng bands.
Rest in power. I'm geuinely so sad. https://t.co/eWLq5PQ3cu
