This is surely a treat for fans of any era of the band. Former Saosin vocalist Cove Reber, who was in the band until 2010 on both their self-titled record and its follow-up In Search Of Solid Ground, reunited with the band for a live performance of “You’re Not Alone” and “Seven Years” recently. Current (and original) vocalist Anthony Green also traded off with Reber during “Seven Years”, which marks a huge amount of fan service for those who bore witness to it. At one point, he specifically said “this is what made me fall in love with Saosin“. If you remember, the original split was somewhat acrimonious, and as our pals at Kill Your Stereo noted, Cove seems genuinely happy to be performing these songs again.
Cove also fronts a new project called Dead American, which you can listen to below in the form of a new EP. Highly recommended, as well.
