Goatwhore will return to North American stages this fall as headliners of the 2018 edition of the Metal Alliance tour. Set to commence on October 31st at Southport Music Hall on their home turf of New Orleans, Louisiana, the tour will make its way through over two dozen cities upon its conclusion November 30th in Easton, Pennsylvania. Support will come from Black Tusk and Great American Ghost as well as Morthereon and Gozu on select dates. A great triumph, the slot sees GOATWHORE join the echelon of previous Metal Alliance headliners like Behemoth and Anthrax. The Metal Alliance trek follows Goatwhore’s near month-long European run supporting Dying Fetus, currently underway. See all confirmed dates below.
I recently had the chance to catch up with vocalist Ben Falgoust from the blackened thrash band, Goatwhore. We talked about touring, the NOLA metal scene documentary, and more. Goatwhore are finished touring for the remainder of the year, but be on the lookout for any upcoming tour dates for 2016. You can check out our interview after the jump.
Goatwhore are at it again with their easily distinguished sound in modern extreme metal. Continuing their unique blend of thrash, black, and death metal, Goatwhore’s sixth full-length album “Constricting Rage of the Merciless” picks up right after where previous effort “Blood for the Master” left off. With such critical acclaim given to recent Goatwhore efforts, is “Constricting Rage of the Merciless” still a fresh album? Or has Goatwhore recorded a dull and rehashed album from the scraps and leftover tracks of the last few records?
Last month, the guys in Goatwhore uploaded a picture to Facebook of Ben on the set of a video shoot that took place at The House of Shock in New Orleans. No details were released at the time, but we no longer have to wonder as the official video for “Baring Teeth for Revolt” has been released.
