Celebrating the 10th anniversary of 933FLZ’s Jingle Ball event in Tampa, FL at Amalie Arena was the best way our photojournalist Savannah Rowley spent her Saturday night. Featuring popular artists such as Marshmello, Khalid, Shawn Mendes, NF & Bebe Rexha, the arena was filled with ten-thousand voices singing lyrics with passion unheard like ever before, coming together for one night featuring a total of eight artists.
Starting acts Sabrina Carpenter, popular for “Sue Me” and Bazzi known for “Beautiful”. opened up the night with flashing lights and catchy choruses ringing throughout the arena.
Bebe Rexha next took the stage, known for hit songs, “I’m a Mess” and “In The Name of Love” the singer strutted back and forth commanding the stage and surprising the crowd by bringing out an engaged couple on stage to slow dance during the final song.
NF took the stage next, spitting fire from start to finish performing hit singles “Why”,”Lie” and “Let You Down.” Bringing his cage, scars, fear and balloon cart, the rapper persisted to exit the cage, lock himself in, climb and jump on top and still never run out of breath. One of the most underrated artists in rap, the voice of a generation took control of the stage leaving everyone starstruck.
Shawn Mendes followed, performing popular songs “In My Blood” and Stitches, making all of the women in the arena swoon. Leading up to Khalid who brought a team of dancers and a full routine to match songs such as “Eastside” and “Location.” Closing out the night was Marshmello, an American DJ who lit up the arena with fireworks, pyro, smoke and had the whole arena dancing and singing to “Happier” and “Wolves.”
