Your Ghost In Glass has released their new single “Choke” on all streaming platforms. For those unfamiliar with the band, Your Ghost In Glass is a solo effort by Cameron McBride (Methwitch). Inspired by the early-mid 2000s wave of emo/post-hardcore acts, “Choke” is another nostalgia trip back to when Warped Tour, Hot Topic, and MySpace ruled the scene. Along with the previous single “Turn Away From Me”, the newly released “Choke” channels clear influence from bands like Underoath, From First To Last, and A Static Lullaby. “Choke” takes a different turn than the previous single, and amplifies the energy to 11. While still retaining the aspect of catchiness, “Choke” trades in soaring melodies for a darker and heavier take on the genre. With a larger use of harsh vocals, and riff driven songwriting, Your Ghost In Glass displays their ability to cover all ground within the scene.
