Capital Carnage

Dec. 6th, 1998

Singles Match
Al Snow vs. Gangrel

A solid opener. Some good offensive moves from both. It was quick and the crowd was hot for it.

Tag Team Match
The Head Bangers (Mosh & Thrasher) vs. LOD 2000 (Animal & Droz)

A quick awful match. Neither team meshed and Droz didn’t click together at all. I also HATED this fake version of LOD.

Singles Match
Val Venis vs. Goldust

I actually enjoyed this match. The finish worked well with Val cheating to win pretty much. Goldust was super over with the crowd and the crowd was invested here. It was quick and didn’t over stay its welcome but still tried to make sure it was a solid match that hit its marks.

3 / 5

Singles Match
Tiger Ali Singh vs. Edge

Tiger is awful and thank god this was short.

.5 / 5

Tag Team Match
Jacqueline & Marc Mero vs. Christian & Sable

Christian and Mero saved this match with a quick exchange here. Otherwise it was Sable with a decent power bomb and some bad fake looking punches on Jacqueline that no one cared much for. Thankfully as a whole this match was quick.

WWF Intercontinental Title Match
Ken Shamrock (w/The Big Bossman) (c) vs. Steve Blackman

A solid match that should have been more. Mainly just strikes until the end where it just seemed to fizzle out then finish.

2 / 5

Singles Match
Triple H (w/Chyna) vs. Jeff Jarrett (w/Debra)

Not a bad match but nothing special. Short coming in at under 7 minutes and it just was standard. This was within a year of HHH really falling into his groove with DX and JJ going to WCW. In this match they just were sorting of floating between spots.

2.5 / 5

WWF World Tag Team Title Match
The New Age Outlaws (Billy Gunn & The Road Dogg) (c) vs. The Nation (D-Lo Brown & Mark Henry)

Decent tag math that got more stale as it went. Felt like there was no heat and it just lacked everything needed to be a hot match. A sudden ending too didn’t help.

2 / 5

WWF World Heavyweight Title Match
The Rock (c) vs. X-Pac (w/Chyna & Triple H)

An okay match with an odd finish. Xpac had some close calls and the crowd was invested though. Just odd to see the DQ where the face was doing most the cheating.

2.5 / 5

Fatal Four Way Match (Special Referee: Gerald Brisco)
Mankind vs. Kane vs. Steve Austin vs. The Undertaker (w/Paul Bearer)

A 4 way brawl. Everyone got their time to shine except for Mankind it felt who was always just there to break the pins. It was fine, nothing special but the crowd ate it up.
