WWE “One Night Stand 2007” (Wrestling Review)

Stretcher Match
Rob Van Dam vs. Randy Orton

An okay but slower stretcher match. RVD sold well against Orton. It was just a rather uneventful match really during a point where Orton was a notoriously slower wrestler.

Tables Six Man Tag Team Match
CM Punk & The ECW Originals (The Sandman & Tommy Dreamer) vs. The New Breed (Elijah Burke, Marcus Cor Von & Matt Striker)

A tag team tables match with odd rules. Started out tagging in and out then just went into the no DQ rules it always had with everyone always in. They really tried though to get the crowd in but Sandman / Punk / Dreamer were fighting guys no one cared about. Sandman also didn’t do much here but bled before the bell even started.

World Tag Team Title Ladder Match
The Hardys (Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy) (c) vs. The World’s Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin)

A really good and underrated / not remembered ladder match. Two good teams and all 4 guys gave it their all here. A ton of good spots that looked rough and close calls throughout. Even with a few sloppy spots they had the crowd going crazy for this with nonstop action throughout.

4 / 5

Lumberjack Match
Kane vs. Mark Henry

A horribly boring and slow match. Mainly holds throughout and ending in a bear hug was an odd move. Also one of the tamest lumberjack matches out there.

.5 / 5

ECW World Heavyweight Title Street Fight
Vince McMahon (w/Shane McMahon & Umaga) (c) vs. Bobby Lashley

Not really a singles match as it was mainly a 3 on 1. Outside of a few decent spots this was another one that just dragged on for far too long without being fun really.

1 / 5

Non Title Pudding Match
Candice Michelle vs. Melina

Not even a match and just a disgrace.

.25 / 5

World Heavyweight Title Steel Cage Match
Edge (c) vs. Batista

This was decent if not a bit too slow. Good back and forth though here and made Edge look like a clever heel champ. The final moments to the finish though were good and made it seem like a super close win.

2 / 5

WWE Heavyweight Title Pinfalls Only Falls Count Anywhere Match
John Cena (c) vs. The Great Khali (w/Ranjin Singh)

A better than expected match given Khali can’t wrestle. Also good to keep it on the shorter side and could have been shorter even. Cena sold for a lot of it until the end spot where they gave a creative finish that would make sense to take Khali out of the match.
