Within Destruction pull a power move by offering to help hospitalized fan with broken ankle at their show

The USA is one of the very few countries that does not guarantee universal healthcare. The choice between financial ruin and getting the healthcare that one needs is a seemingly impossible one, yet it’s something that many Americans face every single day.

It seems Slovenian metal band Within Destruction have come to that realization that the American healthcare “system” is completely fucked, on their current tour of the USA, where they’re currently supporting Enterprise Earth. The story, essentially, is this. A fan at their Hartford show apparently broke his ankle and had to go to the hospital. In case the person in question didn’t have health insurance coverage, Within Destruction made the prescient and honorable move of offering to donate all the profit from that show’s merch sales, towards the victim’s medical bills.

Now, that would be a generous move no matter what band or musician was playing. However, it’s not like Within Destruction are an arena-level band or anything like that. This obviously means that the band isn’t super rich, and donating their profits from one night of merch is a big, big deal for a band like them that’s traveling from Slovenia. Honestly, props to them for such a kind gesture and going the extra mile for their fanbase.
