With the band’s 7th full-length album dropping in early 2019, Whitechapel have outlasted pretty much all of their peers in the longevity department. And while to some fans the metal band have gotten less aggressive with each album, you also can’t deny that Whitechapel is as popular as ever.
This makes their upcoming record a super important one, because Whitechapel could go many different directions. A return to roots album? A continuation of their newer sound? The answer is the latter, but still done well enough to be appealing to a majority of listeners – especially armed with a powerhouse vocalist in Phi Bozeman. Their newest track, “Black Bear”, isn’t too different in that regard, but fans of big, fat groovy metal riffs will love the new Whitechapel song. Give it a spin below.
