Jacksonville, Florida is bringing back the fifth annual Welcome To Rockville festival on April 25th, and 26th. This year features the most eclectic lineup yet, bringing in some of the heaviest hitters in hard rock and metal, as well as a number of up and comers.

The two day music festival will bring in headliners with the likes of Slipknot, Korn, Slayer, Godsmack, Marilyn Mason, Slash feat. Myles Kennedy, as well as the return of Breaking Benjamin. On top of all of that, bringing in a number of widely established bands including (but not limited to) Halestorm, All That Remains, In This Moment, Papa Roach, Ministry and The Pretty Reckless.
But with this lineup, the thing that I’m personally excited for (as I’m sure a good amount of you are as well) is the wider group of metal acts being incorporated into the lineup, giving it more diversity than ever. With acts such as Testament, Exodus, Suicidal Tendencies, Periphery, In Flames, Hatebreed, and The Devil Wears Prada, this will prove to be one of the heaviest hitting festivals the city has seen in quite some time.

Another really cool addition to this year’s festival will be the Metalachi band. Metalachi–the world’s first and only heavy metal mariachi band (www.metalachi.com) will keep the party rolling with three performances on the Tequila World stage each day. Check out this hilarious behind-the-scenes video clip with Metalachi as they get the news about playing the festival:
