We Came As Romans dedicate new single “Golden” to Kyle Pavone

We Came As Romans continue to soldier on since the tragic loss of co-vocalist Kyle Pavone. Having released a string of singles over the last few years, the band is preparing a new full-length, Darkbloom, out this October. The band continues to honor the legacy of Kyle Pavone with their new material, and new single “Golden” is proof of that – you need only read the lyrics that tell the story.

In fact, the song itself is dedicated to Pavone. Guitarist Joshua Moore had this to say about the new song:

“‘Golden’ is a song that’s really close to our hearts. I wrote the verse lyrics about the day that Kyle passed, that morning when we got the call, and the emotion we felt. Kyle was such a bright light in our lives, and it felt like that light was gone without him. This song was about dealing with those feelings and trying to find a way through this new darkness we all felt completely lost in.”

About the new album, Joshua Moore also had this to say:

“We are so excited to finally be able to announce the release of our next record Darkbloom. This will be our first record in five years, and we want to thank you all for being patient with us as we were figuring out if we could, and how we could continue moving forward as a band.

We wrote this record about all the feelings we felt, and all the emotional places we lived in, navigating the loss of our brother. Every song is about a different part of our lives over the past few years, an insight to the struggles we had, and how we were able to make it to where we are now. We hope you all can take a deep dive into these songs and connect with us – and if you’re feeling any of the ways we did, we hope these songs can help you push forward.

This record is dedicated to Kyle – we’ll never forget you, and we will never stop saying your name.”
