WCW – Slamboree 1994 (Wrestling Review)

WCW

Slamboree

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

May 22nd, 1994

WCW United States Heavyweight Title Match
Steve Austin (w/Col. Robert Parker) (c) vs. Johnny B. Badd

A bit long but very mat based match. It had its moment and was entertaining throughout. Solid opening.

3 / 5

Legends Match
Tully Blanchard vs. Terry Funk

A fun brawl that ended with a lame DQ. It was fun though for what it was.

3 / 5

Non Title Match
Larry Zbyszko vs. Lord Steven Regal (w/Sir William)

A slow match that Regal carried. It was fine but never anything special.

2 / 5

Bullrope Match
Dustin Rhodes vs. Bunkhouse Buck (w/Col. Robert Parker)

This felt a lot longer than 12 minutes. It had its moments but dragged too much between those moments.

2 / 5

WCW World Heavyweight Title Match
Ric Flair (c) vs. Barry Windham (w/Col. Robert Parker)

A fine match that Flair tried to hold together. Windham wasn’t into this at all and it showed.

2 / 5

WCW World Tag Team Title Broadstreet Bully Match (Special Referee: Dave Schultz)
The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags) (c) vs. Cactus Jack & Kevin Sullivan

A really fun hardcore tag match. No rules, a lot of brawling and weapons, and blood here. Under 10 minutes too so the action stayed nonstop.

4 / 5

WCW International World Heavyweight Title Match (vacant)
Vader (w/Harley Race) vs. Sting

Another fun match between Vader and Sting. Maybe not their best but still a great one. Good action and pacing and solid close to the PPV.

4 / 5
