Connecticut progressive metalcore band Currents have had a prolific last couple years. Signing with Sharptone Records for the release of their full-length The Place I Feel Safest, the band has garnered enough forward momentum to become one of the hotter support acts on multiple national tours, especially their current one with We Came As Romans and The Plot In You. There are multiple reasons why the band is becoming a successful entity, and that’s both a dedication to hard work, as well as a catchy yet technical progressive-leaning metalcore sound that never sacrifices songwriting for typical genre tropes and excesses.
While on WCAR’s Cold Like War headlining tour, Currents performed their live staple “Apnea” to a crowd that was, well, pretty stoked to hear it. Check out the high quality video below for a taste of what Currents is all about.
