Even in his most popular period, Kid Rock was about as rebellious as a wet paper towel. Sure, he’s sold millions of albums, but outside of echoing every right-wing talking point imaginable, he hasn’t been particularly relevant in over a decade.
Kid Rock’s new song, “Don’t Tell Me How To Live”, is unintentionally hilarious. It’s unclear if the message he’s bringing here – namely, calling out apparent “offended millennials”, is meant as irony or if he’s serious. If it’s the latter, he’s talking about a generation that’s only a minimum of ten years younger than him, considering the oldest millennials were born in 1981 (he was born in 1971). Even more hilarious is that he’s trying to revisit his Devil Without A Cause days yet again, but somehow it’s even worse of a retread than you can possibly imagine. Or maybe Kid Rock is trolling us all. Probably not.
