It’s pretty well known that Killswitch Engage vocalist Jesse Leach has his roots in the hardcore and punk scenes, attending his first hardcore show at 14, and never really looking back. A cursory look at his social medias shows that the roots run very, very deep – and even at 40 years of age, his love for those scenes have clearly never faded.
While Killswitch Engage puts the finishing touches on a brand new record (which will be their first since 2016), Jesse recently took in an Agnostic Front show at the famous Blackthorn 51 in Elmhurst, New York – and he got front and center in the action. For him, this is therapy – and we think any fan of metal, hardcore, punk rock, or outsider subculture can probably agree, as well.
