Currently playing to packed crowds on the final Vans Warped Tour, Florida metalcore band Wage War have certainly done well for themselves, standing out in a sea of similar acts. It’s the band’s impressive stage presence that has won over many a new fan (they’re selling out their own headlining tours now after just 2 records), and it also doesn’t hurt that tracks like “Stitch” and “Alive” are packed with hooks and heaviness in equal measure.
Given that it’s the final Warped Tour this summer, many who grew up attending the tour still do – but now they’re grown up with one or more children. It’s awesome to see so many younger teens and even kids getting in on the action, discovering bands that they may end up listening to as they get older, as well. Lifelong memories and all that.
Needless to say, this video part of the way through Wage War’s set will warm your heart. Scroll to the 6:00 minute mark to watch an awesome kid named Max get in the pit, as it were, and prove that he’s got better mosh moves than any of us mortals. It’s true! Notice how the crowd completely gives him room to move? That’s the metal community for you – built on respect for fellow man and woman.
