It’s been almost 8 years since revered Canadian post-hardcore band Alexisonfire has released a full-length album (2009’s underrated Old Crows/Young Cardinals), but it’s not like the band’s legacy has been forgotten. After going on a long hiatus, the band has been playing the occasional show, releasing albums on vinyl, and generally making sure that their importance to the music scene is remembered for a long time.
Even better is when the band does things like play a secret show with their long time cohorts in Moneen. This is a real thing that happened at Lee’s Palace in Toronto last night. Check out the full video below. It’s shows like this that make fans clamor for a full reunion with new music, though that’s fairly uncertain at this point.
