Veil Of Maya throw a musical wrench in their sound with new song, “Outrun”

Currently on tour with Dance Gavin Dance, Veil Of Maya haven’t released a proper album since 2017’s False Idol. That doesn’t mean, however, that VOM haven’t been busy – with a string of single releases since then, it’s not like their name has been out of the spotlight.

And luckily for you, the listener, the band has changed things up a bit with their new single “Outrun”. One of the band’s poppiest singles to date, it’s also nice to hear an obvious Iron Maiden influence when it comes to the guitar work (seriously). Still no word on a new album from the band, but with singles this interesting, it’ll be worth the wait.

About the new song, vocalist Lucas Magyar had this to say: “Outrun is extra special to us because it’s something we haven’t done before and we weren’t trying too hard to make something different. It just came together organically and we were all very pleased when it was complete.”
