Tzarina hits all the right post-hardcore notes on “Overthrow”

Don’t let Tzarina fool you into thinking the new post-hardcore/alt-metal act aren’t also a polished outfit. Hailing from Brooklyn, the band defies easy categorization, fitting into a number of rock, alternative, and metal subgenres. Needless to say, though, if you like riffs and melodies, you’ll find much to sink your teeth into with their two singles, “Deadsong” and “Overthrow”. And that’s only the beginning of what this promising band has in store, too. With new music on the horizon, these two tracks provide a snapshot of the band’s initial stages – as well as hint at what might come next. Either way, we’re here for it – and you should be as well.
