Trash the Brand released their self titled debut album Saturday night with an album release party at Emporium Rock and Blues bar in Jackson Tennessee. Emporium is a new music venue in Jackson and is owned and operated by Jonathan Montoya ( guitarist for Full Devil Jacket, former guitarist for Saliva).  Trash the Brand consist of lead vocals and guitarist Scotty Austin, Bassist Scott Anthony Little and Drummer Steven Pully. They are true innovators with a new sound they call ” swap-a-billy” it is a combination of rock, country, blues, rockabilly and a metalish vibe added just for fun. The venue was packed and easily exceeded the fire limit on the venue.  It was a high energy show from start to finish with guest acts like Skyline divide and Ghost in the Machine setting the stage and getting the crowd ready for Trash the Brand. This show felt more like a welcoming for home town heroes than and album release. While there was merchandise available it was not pushed on you nor were you confronted with booth workers trying to persuade you to buy all the merchandise.

Trash the Brand put on a high energy set featuring most of their originals including the single “Larry and the blue dog (Devils Ride)” and mixed in some of their favorite covers like Pink Floyd’s “another brick in the wall”.  They thanked their fans for coming and dedicated a song to all veterans in attendance. Besides the music you came to see you were also entered in a drawing to win a $250 gift certificate.  The sponsors of the show were in attendance to take pictures and hand out promotional material to any fan that wanted it. Some of the ones i seen were Full Throttle Sloon-Shine and Bumpus Harley Davidson.

This was a top notch performance by  a truly great rock and roll band.  If you have not heard this band the songs are as awesome as the performance is; I strongly suggest you check them out. you can find the on Facebook,ReverbNation, or Twitter. If you do not patron those sites then check them out on their website
