Trans Siberian Orchestra returns to Chicagoland continuing as a must see yearly tradition

Being a yearly tradition as a band and tour is a hard feat, its even harder though when your group has two seperate bands and does 2 shows a day for a lot of cities. Somehow though Trans-Siberian Orchestra makes it look easy and continues to be one of the few must see yearly traditions in music.

With this years tour being themed around “The Ghosts Of Christmas Eve – The Best Of TSO And More” brought the album to the forefront while still showcasing some of TSOs other material and including Savatage via “The Hourglass,” alongside TSO’s “Mozart/Figaro” and “The Lost Christmas Eve.” While this format made it feel more like a concert while the story here took a backseat a little bit (and was somewhat hard to follow) it did make a nice different occasion for fans that see the show yearly.

While the rock opera / orchestra music is legendary and appeals to fans of all ages, the stage show is the other half that gets talked about. Featuring giant set pieces, pyro, lasers, smoke, a giant snowball, platforms over the crowd, and more, the show is just a masterclass of visuals. Everything is over the top insane while also feeling perfectly in place.

With a two and a half hour run time, through all the great music and visuals, TSO still brings home the Christmas spirit and sends fans off with a message of hope, healing, redemption, and a positive message. Its easy to see why the group has sustained such a long career that has no end in sight.
