Ubisoft has just launched their new game Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction, a spin-off of Rainbow Six Siege! Taking familiar operations and aspects from the hit game and taking it to a more PVE format, I have admittedly only played about an hour of the game so I don’t know too much, but from what I played I’m really enjoying the gameplay. The gun play is as smooth as you’d expect being a spin-off from Siege, the graphics are pretty gorgeous, and the formula works. The gameplay loop sees you taking risks in hopes for better rewards, or exiting a game at an extraction when you don’t want to move forward, taking what you got. Ubisoft has been getting pretty stale with a lot of their franchises, but at least they made sure to make Rainbow Six Extraction can stand on its own two feet.
