TNF Premiere: Alt-hardcore newcomers Cove share new song, “All I Believe”, announce April headlining tour

If you haven’t already figured it out, we at TNF love riffs, and few bands sound as fresh as alt-hardcore group Cove. Hailing from Britain (Kent, to be specific), the band is seriously making some inroads into the greater music scene at large. With a sound that draws from mainstays like Architects and Devil Sold His Soul while also maintaining a distinct flavor of their own, Cove are bound to do big things in the next couple years.

We’re excited to be premiering the band’s new song, “All I Believe”. While clocking in at just 3 minutes long, it’s no less effective for it. The track reminds me of bands like DSHS and especially the first couple Acres EP’s from a few years back, though Cove forgoes most of the post-rock tendencies of the latter for a more straight-ahead approach. One listen to the band’s upcoming EP, A Conscious Motion, shows that they are quite possibly the future of riff-driven, emotive post-hardcore.

Also, the band have announced an April headliner with Parting Gift supporting all dates. Check out those dates below, too! Oh, and you can pre-order the record right here.

The band had this to say about the new song: ““All I Believe” is a song that deals with being lost, having everything you stand for fall around you and not be able to relate or connect. The feeling of trying to hold on to anything desperately to have a sense of being/existing/purpose or reason to carry on. With all of the songs on “A Conscious Motion” we really wanted to explore different dynamics and push them in ways we hadn’t used before which influenced parts like the haunting first verse of the song. This part of the song if probably one of our favourite parts on the EP and makes the heavy choruses sound huge.”

About the tour, Cove had this to say: “We’re really excited about our first headline run in April starting on the 15th, and couldn’t be more excited to have Parting Gift out with us on this run!”
