Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory is one of the most iconic albums of all time, as well as one of the most successful. There’s not much we could possibly say that hasn’t already been said about the album. One important component of the band that sometimes goes unnoticed, though, is the importance of visual art. It’s seen on the band’s album covers, as well as in their music videos (especially the one for the Reanimation version of “Points Of Authority”), where technology and art meet music.
This intersection of art, technology, and music has obviously inspired many visual artists and graphic designers as well. In fact, one such graphic designer is Evan Field, who also has a sizable audience on Twitter and social media as a whole. Far from being just a shitposter, though, he also has a Bachelor’s in Digital Media and Design from UConn, and in 2021, he graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a Master’s Degree in Graphic Design. Obviously impressive stuff, but it gets better…
Field also created a version of the Hybrid Theory cover, but reimagined it as a graphic novel. Let’s be honest, everyone in Linkin Park needs to see this. Mike Shinoda, WYA? Pretty sick either way.
Of course, it’s far from the first time he’s done this. He’s also done work referencing Dance Gavin Dance, Ice Nine Kills, and plenty more of your favorite bands. Imagine being this talented though, honestly.
